A group of fire industry manufacturers have come together to stage a regional exhibition in order to fill the gap left by the absence of Firex North this year.
The independently staged event takes place at Doncaster Race Course in the Premier Suite and is open to all UK based Fire Industry manufacturers. On Monday 8th October the Expo will be open for visitors between 12.30pm and 6pm on Monday and from 8am until 2.30pm on Tuesday.
This event will give exhibitors the chance to showcase new and existing products and view the latest product offerings from other companies. The exhibition will provide an opportunity for end users to develop their knowledge and understanding of areas where they may be unfamiliar. There will be ample opportunity for visitors to raise queries they may have with integrators and manufacturers in the region; no fewer than 20 companies are expected to attend to help answer any questions presented to them.
The FIA supports this event and General Manager Martin Duggan has highlighted the benefits of attending: ‘’This Fire Industry Manufacturers’ Expo is designed to give the fire detection installation and maintenance companies the opportunity to network with the exhibiting manufacturers. The exhibitors are inviting the industry to come and have lunch, have a drink or have breakfast with them to build upon those relationships and find out what’s new.’’
The open plan design will provide a suitable and friendly environment for industry members to have informal discussion and expand their network in a social atmosphere. Hospitality will include lunch, tea and coffee as well as after show drinks on Monday. On Tuesday there will be a buffet breakfast and lunch.
Commenting on the event Ray Puttock, Head of Marketing at EMS said: “The FIM EXPO event is important to EMS and our customers, as many are based in the north of the country and were unable to get to IFSEC to see what new products and services are available. We often forget areas such as Scotland but there is significant business to be had north of Birmingham. We believe that FIM EXPO will be a significant inaugural event for the fire industry and for EMS”.
