Irwin Mitchell, one of the UK’s most successful and respected law firms, has announced the award of its first outsourcing contract for TFM services to OCS. This prestigious 5 year contract includes the provision of catering, cleaning, M&E, pest control, courier, mailroom, document management, security, travel desk and waste management services across the firm’s national network of offices. OCS’s comprehensive experience in providing facilities support to the professional services sector will allow Irwin Mitchell to focus on its core business, following the law firm’s major expansion over recent years. The in-house FM team will transfer to OCS under TUPE regulations. Irwin Mitchell’s Operations Director, Gary Jackson, commented: “The strategic partnership with OCS will ensure a high level of expertise and knowledge in the increasingly important area of facilities management. Our continued success over the last few years has seen an increase in the time and resource tied up in this area. Now is the right time for this to be handed over to experts in this field.” Martin Gammon, OCS Group UK’s Managing Director, said: “We are delighted to secure this contract and to be working closely with such a progressive firm as Irwin Mitchell. We welcome the Irwin Mitchell FM team to OCS where, in addition to helping us provide a high quality service provision, they will be offered training and development opportunities within the wider FM environment. Our specialist staff, aided by the use of our FMi asset management software, will provide dynamic planned and reactive resource and asset management to Irwin Mitchell over the lifespan of this contract. “OCS is perfectly positioned to deliver the complete range of facilities management services on behalf of its clients. To maximise convenience for the client, OCS oversees this process from the outset to ensure continuous efficiency and guaranteed cost savings in supply base delivery.”
