Data Power Limited, the Data and Electrical specialists, based in Kings Norton Business Centre, Birmingham, have expanded their team with the recent appointment of building surveyor Keith Richmond. He brings over 40 years experience in the construction industry to the firm, having previously been employed in managerial roles by both Local Authorities and Housing Associations. Keith also brings a wealth of knowledge and experience of the regulations and requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and firmly believes that all services should be readily available for disabled people. His long standing experience of being involved with commercial, housing and educational projects in a project management role will also be invaluable to Data Power and their expansion during 2012. Keith commented, “I am delighted to be working with Data Power Limited. I am confident that my knowledge of the DDA will be a real asset to the firm and believe that accessibility should be paramount for all. “I also believe that staff training to cater for disabled people should be the norm in our society today, and that work opportunities should be made available wherever possible.” As a qualified plumbing and heating engineer by trade, his career has enabled him to work from the ground up, and has armed him with the ability to communicate at all levels. Steve Lowe, director at the firm commented, “As our planned expansion for 2012 unfolds, the appointment of Keith will be invaluable to us in driving our business forward. “His knowledge on DDA has already brought in new enquiries from various sectors for us and we look forward to turning them into orders over the coming months.”
