Knauf AMF gear up for new VW Showroom

A new Volkswagen showroom in Barnstaple has opted for a clean, uncluttered interior design to show its cars to best effect whilst also creating a comfortable, welcoming environment for customers. It was important for the ceilings to blend with the overall design, and Thermatex Acoustic ceiling tiles from Knauf AMF provided the solution. As well as giving a clean, crisp appearance to the ceiling, Thermatex Acoustic offers enhanced sound absorption to help control noise levels in the large open-plan space. The special mineral board has an acoustic fleece face with a smooth, elegant surface finish, while the combination of high density, bio-soluble mineral wool, clay and starch provide excellent physical characteristics. “It was essential that the ceilings matched the aesthetic requirements of the new showroom”, explained Karl Stimpson of BKS Construction who carried out the installations. “We’ve worked with Knauf AMF on a number of previous projects and had no hesitation in recommending them for the Barnstaple showroom.” Around 600m2 of Thermatex Acoustic tiles were specified for the project, utilising a larger plank format (2500x300mm) to further enhance the neat and tidy finish.
