The factory is located in Alpago, 45 minutes north of Venice, and neighbours M12, one of MEHITS key manufacturing hubs
The testing facility can test chillers, rooftop units, heat pumps and simultaneous heating and cooling units for comfort, process and IT cooling capacity
The testing facility has premium office premises to allow for witness testing, providing a client engineer or quality inspector with the opportunity to ensure the equipment meets the necessary requirements
The testing system has a 730m³ tank storage water volume, 360 temperature probes and between 80 and 800 m³/h of water flow can be distributed on different circuits
The facility is extremely energy efficient, with an advanced configuration of variable fans, coils and dampeners. All the energy comes from hydroelectricity plants nearby, meaning the testing facility has a very low carbon usage.
It allows for testing in any external air temperatures between -20°C and +55°C, to model climates from Lapland in Norway to the scorching heat of the Death Valley in California. Rooftop units will be also be testable in indoor conditions between 0°C and 30°C, with full humidity control
It is possible to test water source chillers and heat pumps at water temperatures between +4°C to +60°C for no glycol and -15°C to +60°C for glycol
For IT Cooling applications it is possible to test the combined system of chillers and High Precision Air Conditioners (HPAC) and rack coolers units with external air temperature between -20°C and +55°C, indoor temperature up to +35°C and complete humidity control
The testing chamber will also be suitable for acoustic tests of any of the above-mentioned units, in any configuration
All tests will be compliant with EUROVENT, with UNI EN14511 and AHRI Standard 551/591 (SI).
