Matting Taken For A Ride

The operators recognised that there was a potential for the floor of the gondolas to get damp and wet which might cause slips and falls for guests. With an overall height of 10mm, the pooling water is also kept away from guests’ shoes and bags. As the matting is easy to cut to size, it contours perfectly into the bottom of the gondolas. Heronrib, manufactured from hardwearing non-porous vinyl, is widely used for wet areas, such as external walkways, changing rooms and around swimming pools. The embossed surface is comfortable to stand on and highly slip resistant, while the anti-bacterial and anti-fungal additives added at manufacture ensure it is hygienic for bare feet and reduce cross-contamination.
