Ricochet, the wireless mesh network technology from leading security product manufacturer Texecom Ltd., is more reliable, easier to install and more adaptable than any comparable system. The new Premier 24 Ricochet Kit provides in one package all the components necessary for a superior wireless-enabled security system for smaller commercial and premium residential projects. The Ricochet technology enables devices to communicate not only directly with the control panel, but also to route their communications through any other nearby Ricochet devices. This means that not only is the range of the system greatly extended, but the signal strength is kept to an optimum level by automatically using the strongest signal path. The system will even ‘self-heal’ if a particular signal route becomes weak or blocked, rerouting the communication channel through other devices to bypass the interference and maintain system integrity. This level of wireless security system has previously only been viable for large commercial installations; now Texecom is bringing its benefits to a much greater range of customers. The kit contains a Premier 24 control panel and Premier 8XP-W wireless Ricochet-enabled 8 zone expander, 3 wireless Prestige XT-W PIRs, one Impaq Contact-W wireless magnetic contact, a Premier LCDP Keypad and a Premier SmartKey.
