Take the BM TRADA challenge at the FIT Show

The BM TRADA Group will be offering visitors an interactive multimedia experience and the opportunity to win a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 on stand number 1-030 at the FIT Show 2013 in Telford International Centre on 16-18 April. The Group will be encouraging visitors to participate in two tablet-based challenges in which they are required to correctly specify and install a fire door and appropriate windows in a virtual building. Anyone that takes up these challenges will be entered into a free prize draw to win a new tablet. The challenges serve to illustrate the importance of specifying and installing products which have been tested and approved to the relevant BM TRADA Q-Mark certification schemes. The fire door challenge, invites participants to choose components to construct a fire-resisting doorset which will offer a specified fire performance. Get it right and the door will stay in place; but get it wrong and it will go up in flames. Visitors taking part in the window challenge will be asked to specify four windows to meet relevant Building Regulation requirements for energy efficiency and to provide an appropriate acoustics rating. BM TRADA Certification will be launching a new Acoustic Windows Scheme at the show and will be offering visitors advice on how to achieve the best acoustic performance from windows and doors. In addition to providing information on the certification of products and installers, the BM TRADA Group will be offering a CE Marking surgery. Visitors will be able to arrange free 30 minute appointments with BM TRADA Group experts who will be able to answer CE marking queries across a wide range of construction products, from passive fire protection products, to doors and windows.
