Ensuring compliant onsite wastewater treatment post-lockdown
Leisure and tourism businesses with onsite wastewater treatment plants are being offered guidance to ensure equipment is powered back up safely, as lockdown restrictions ease and premises begin to reopen doors. Following the UK government’s announcement that businesses including hotels, caravan parks and campsites can reopen from 4 July, packaged wastewater treatment plant provider WPL is hosting online clinics to guide users through the recommissioning process, which will be specific to their site.
UKWIR failure database success for Servelec Technologies
A review of UKWIR’s National Failure Database for pipe assets is being carried out by Servelec Technologies after the company won its 40th contract with the research organisation. The work will examine the business case for continuing development and support of the NFD, which benchmarks failure rates for water distribution mains and sewers in the UK and Ireland.
