Mitsubishi Electric has announced that its environmental efforts related to supply chains have earned the company selection to the 2020 “Supplier engagement leader board,” the CDP’s Supplier Engagement programme’s highest ranking. The CDP is an international non-governmental organisation that supports environmental disclosure. This is the fourth year in which Mitsubishi Electric has earned a top ranking for excellent actions and strategies to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and climate-change risk throughout its supply chain.
Mitsubishi Electric has launched an R32 version of its popular e-series chillers, available in 150kW and 180kW units. The e-series allows up to six units to be connected together to provide a total system capacity of up to 1080kW. The new modular chiller is available in both cooling only and heat pump variations and comes with a five-year warranty.

Mitsubishi Electric has launched a new, R32 Air Curtain which is designed to improve energy efficiency and minimise heat loss from a building while allowing businesses to benefit from an open door policy. As the first manufacturer in the UK to launch an R32 Air Curtain, the new Mr Slim HP DX 2.0 Air Curtain completes the R32 offering across splits indoor units and allows customers to move to one sole refrigerant on site.
Toshiba Carrier Corporation has announced the establishment of a new manufacturing subsidiary in Gniezno, a mid-western city of Poland. The heating, ventilating and air-conditioning (HVAC) joint venture between Toshiba Corporation and Carrier Corporation will invest approximately 3.0 billion Japanese yen in this subsidiary to enhance its business foundation and presence in Europe. The new manufacturing subsidiary is scheduled to start operations before the end of 2020.

The M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool is now able to deliver energy efficient cooling to audiences of up to 11,000 thanks to the installation of 46 e-Series modular chillers. In December 2017, the Arena’s carpark, where the previous chillers were housed, was devastated by a fire, and the new chiller solution needed to be installed in the limited space on and around the Arena itself.
