Union Industries, the UK’s leading manufacturer of high-speed industrial doors, has supported a project at West Midlands manufacturer, Donghua Ltd, to eradicate heat loss from its warehouse, with the installation of a pair of its Bulldoor Rapid Rise Doors. Wolverhampton-based Donghua Ltd, a UK subsidiary of the Hangzhou Donghua Chain Group, produce a comprehensive range of chains, sprockets and accessories for industrial applications.
Union Industries has continued to support the upgrade of Ragus Sugar’s facilities in Slough with a further installation of its leading high-speed industrial doors. The latest two Bulldoors have replaced two poor performing doors at the factory’s main Vat Processing Room, that is in constant use by forklift trucks and personnel. The British-built Bulldoors are equipped to deal with the positive pressures imposed on them by their air-filtration systems along with around the clock use, increasing productivity due to its high speed and ease of use.
Union Industries’ engineers acted almost as fast as its rapid roll industrial doors to ensure one of its Eiger freezer doors was fitted in record time at Total Foodservice Solutions. To ensure that productivity at the busy Yorkshire-based food service company wasn’t impacted, installation of the Eiger door was required to take place in a two-and-a-half-day window during a weekend. This is around half the time usually required to install the freezer door, however a team of three highly experienced Union Industries engineers, completed the job, which included the removal of an existing door, with time to spare.
Union Industries, the employee-owned manufacturer of high-speed industrial roller doors, is celebrating its 50th anniversary. With a history that stretches further back than 1972, the celebration marks the incorporation of the business as Union Industries. The anniversary was commemorated by a glamourous black-tie event at the stunning Grantley Hall in North Yorkshire attended by current and former employees as well as its founders, Paul and Isobel Schofield, who are affectionately known by colleagues, friends and customers as Mr and Mrs S.
