Digital Engineering Award winners

BuroHappold Engineering is the CIBSE digital engineering champion of champions after being awarded top honours at the CIBSE Society of Digital Engineering Awards 2019.

The best of the best accolade was the crowning achievement for BuroHappold Engineering who stole the show with wins in three of the eight categories at the awards: Best Process and Application; Best Innovation and Best Consultancy.

The judges said BuroHappold had developed “excellent technical solutions”. What impressed them most, however, was the consultant’s “truly collaborative approach to developing their impressive toolsets and processes internally” and “for having clearly embraced the spirit of openness and sharing that is so central to the emerging culture around working digitally”.

The night’s other winners were:

• Best Project/Collaboration Small: Arcadis/London Underground

• Best Project/Collaboration Large: Ramboll/JG Ingenieros

• Best Contractor: SES Engineering Services

• Best Manufacturer: Schindler

• Best Digital Engineer: Jagannatha Reddy of Arcadis
   

The CIBSE Society of Digital Engineering was formed to provide a forum for those pioneering the digitalisation of the built environment. Its members include designers, contractors, manufacturers, clients, facility managers and software vendors.
The Digital Engineering Awards brought to a close the first day of Build2Perform Live, the flagship event of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and the UK’s premier event for built environment solutions.

This year’s Build2Perform Live event attracted over 2000 delegates to London’s Olympia. The success of the show and conference has made this a key annual event for all professionals involved in improving the performance of our built environment.

Build2Perform features a diverse programme of seminars and presentations: it is an authoritative and informative event for those involved in the design and operation of high performing buildings and an excellent opportunity for networking with like-minded professionals.
