Employees Cycle 500 Miles in Five Days to raise funds for Action for Children

Steelcase employees completed an epic cycle challenge when they arrive in Glasgow on Friday evening (18th June) after cycling 500 miles from London in five days to raise money for Action for Children. Steelcase, global leaders in the office interiors industry, participate in a charity challenge every year to raise awareness and vital funds for different charities and this year, the firm’s Glasgow office was the finishing line for the impressive cycle challenge. Eight brave employees took on the challenge, being put to the ultimate test in cycling, which began at Steelcase’s office in London and arrives five days later at Steelcase’s showroom in Glasgow. Mark Spragg, Managing Director of Steelcase UK, who took part in the challenge, said: “This challenge was not for the faint hearted, it was a real test of endurance and motivation. It is important to Steelcase’s conscientious company values to participate in activities such as these. Action for Children is a very worthy charity and the work they do is extremely humbling. We are glad that we can support them in their mission. “En route we visited colleagues in all of our Steelcase offices across the UK including Birmingham and Manchester. Having all training hard over the last month we were delighted at our endurance and ability to complete the epic cycle with only a few minor bumps and flat tyres encountered along the way.
