GSK award EMCOR UK ‘Next Generation’ Facilities Management Contract

London, 19 December 2019: Leading facilities management provider EMCOR UK has been awarded a five-year technical services contract with the science-led global healthcare company, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). The multi-million pound deal will cover six UK R&D facilities and became effective on 2nd December 2019.

Throughout the successful multi-stage selection process, EMCOR UK demonstrated an industry leading approach to collaboration, technology and operational excellence. Central to this was a balanced and incentive driven commercial model that enables improvement in quality, innovation and technology throughout the duration of the contract.

In response to the complexity presented by the R&D estate, EMCOR UK will be leveraging expertise gained from working with existing clients who currently occupy some of most complex, regulated and technically challenging environments in the UK.

A focus on improvements in areas such as data quality and analytics will be achieved through working with both client validated systems and EMCOR UK IT solutions, delivering a data led approach to facilities management.

Operational Excellence is central to the facilities management solution for GSK, ensuring the 250 strong EMCOR UK team are supported by a wider team of experts and technical solutions from its central compliance and engineering functions.
