Knauf AMF creates impact with its cutting-edge acoustic solutions at Surface Design Show

Knauf AMF Ceilings is recognised by specifiers for high quality ceiling and acoustic solutions, which is why they are exhibiting their innovative Heradesign ceiling and wall panels at the 2014 Surface Design Show on the 4-6 February at the Business Design Centre, London.

Heradesign are sustainable, distinctive wood-wool based ceiling tiles and wall panels, which are cost effective and easy to install. The panels have a natural textured finish and provide up to class A sound absorption. Available in various sizes, face patterns, edge details and an almost unlimited range of colours including RAL, NCS, BS or StoColor, Heradesign is a unique product which offers architects the ability to create bold, eye-catching designs which are truly original.

Knauf AMF operates a state of the art wood-wool factory which manufactures Heradesign products.

Each panel is made using sustainable materials and technologies, including wood from PEFC certified sources. Different thicknesses of wood-wool fibres are available which give a distinctive surface finish to each panel in the range, with fibres ranging from just 1mm thick to 3mm.

Combined with outstanding sound absorption and class 1A impact resistance, Heradesign is ideal for education, sports halls, hotels, offices, commercial and leisure facilities.

Heradesign panels can be suspended using a traditional grid system or mechanically fixed to an MF system or wooden battens using pre-painted Heradesign screws. Pre-fabricated ceiling rafts, fins or baffles are available where additional acoustic control is required, or where a suspended ceiling is not viable. Baffles, rafts and fins are available in various sizes with different fixing options making them a flexible design solution.

Knauf AMF is also exhibiting its stylish Thermatex Varioline ceiling system. Available in plank or tile formats with either a wood, metal or customised print finish; they allow the creation of minimalist elegant ceilings with a cosy, friendly ambience. As well as meeting aesthetic requirements, the ceiling system also provides excellent acoustic control.
