HMP Bronzefield, HMP Addiewell, HMP Forest Bank and HMP Peterborough all earned the top award from the British Safety Council for their commitment to workplace health and safety. Of the 467 sites of all shapes and sizes to enter from across the globe, only 39 achieved a distinction. Sodexo Justice Services works closely with the Ministry of Justice, the Health and Safety Executive and the British Safety Council to demonstrate compliance and continuous improvement in health and safety across the custodial environment. This latest recognition is testament to that hard work. Representatives from all four prisons attended the International Safety Awards gala dinner at London’s Grosvenor House on Friday 26 April. Tony Leech, managing director of Sodexo Justice Services said: “I am delighted to see best practice by our teams recognised as being among the best in the world. Through these awards we are able to demonstrate our commitment to safety and security which is critical to the success of our business.”
