New management team at phs Compliance

A new management team has been appointed at property and facilities management services firm phs Compliance.

Dan Lee will lead the phs Compliance business as managing director, having been appointed from crate rental provider phs Teacrate, both part of phs Group. Dan spent nearly two years as managing director of Teacrate, delivering a restructure of the business and launching new digital trading platforms. During this time, he also managed phs’ hygiene division in Ireland. Prior to joining phs, he spent a decade at private-equity owned Safetykleen UK, most recently as managing director and part of the group executive team.

Alongside Dan, three other key appointments have been at phs Compliance. Darren Blackbird has joined as sales director, Brian Leech as operations director and Greg Johnson as finance business partner. The new management team will strive to expand upon the company’s core offering, enhance its service delivery and achieving its business plans.

With 25 years’ business experience, Darren was promoted from within phs, having worked within the strategic business development division for 18 months. His experience includes six years as commercial manager for hygiene provider Cannon Hygiene and eight years at Tata Steel as commercial manager and latterly as general manager of a steel distribution business. Meanwhile, Brian joins phs with 20 years of management experience, with six years at property security firm VPS Group where his roles included regional director and operations director. Greg, a qualified accountant, joins phs from digital services and software firm Capita where he was financial controller. His experience also includes finance roles at Talk Talk Business, Henry Bath and BAE Systems.

As a major provider of property and FM services across the UK, phs Compliance delivers more than 14 million compliance inspections for 35,000 customer sites each year. Most recently, phs Compliance is supporting businesses to comply with legal requirements following lockdown closures and implementing new social distancing measures. This includes mandatory water system checks, fire-risk assessments and a new coronavirus surface testing service.
