The team won the award for their hard work and dedication in implementing a zero tolerance ‘Smoking Cessation’ policy which helps the Trust stop patients, visitors and staff from smoking on the Trust’s premises. Working in close partnership, the OCS team has also supported the client’s objective to reduce site costs by adjusting operational support. With enhanced technology and using OCS mobile patrol vehicles to take vital hospital equipment across the different locations, the team has provided a variety of service efficiencies. OCS staff also now help to deliver patient records and samples, as well as transporting medical staff across Trust sites. The team is an integral part of the Trust Emergency Response Team, with over 20 additional fully trained security personnel employed in a floating capacity so that, in emergency situations, OCS can offer rapid response and consistent service. Eddie Ratcliffe, Operations Director for OCS, commented: “We are pleased to have been recognised for this award. Our team has built an excellent relationship with this customer and we hope to continue strengthening the partnership in the future.”
