Horticulture services company phs Greenleaf has become the horticultural supply partner to OCS, the international facility services group.
Under the new partnership, phs has been awarded more than 100 mobile planting and landscaping contracts from facilities management firm OCS and it will become its preferred supply partner on future horticultural bids.
phs Greenleaf, which provides a range of horticultural services across the UK, will take over OCS’ mobile horticultural activities and has already began servicing the contracts. As part of the agreement, the jobs of front-line members of OCS staff have been transferred to phs Greenleaf.
The new contracts include ground maintenance, interior plant supply and maintenance and landscaping, for a variety of organisations from schools, cricket grounds and parish councils to high-tech firms, landmark offices, facilities management companies and even Fort Nelson, a Napoleonic fort. While OCS will cease to offer its own mobile planting and landscaping services, the two firms will work in partnership on any future contract opportunities with phs Greenleaf becoming OCS’ preferred contractor for any new horticultural work.
phs Greenleaf has more than 25 years’ experience of providing horticultural services including indoor and outdoor planting displays, artificial and live planting, living walls, grounds maintenance services and decorated Christmas trees.
phs Group CEO David Taylor-Smith said: “Becoming the horticultural supply partner to OCS and being awarded all of OCS’ horticultural work is a fantastic coup for phs Greenleaf. We have worked hard to successfully merge the business in a short time period and to ensure a smooth transition for our new customers, offering our first-class level of service.
“phs Greenleaf is a well-established business servicing customers from a variety of sectors across the UK. This is a great opportunity to expand as a firm and we look forward to bringing our expertise in horticulture to a growing client base and beginning our long-term strategic partnership with OCS.”
