Sodexo wins Northern Devon NHS contract
Sodexo, a leading provider of on site service solutions, has successfully won the contract with Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust for a further seven years. The new contract, which has a total value of over £40 million, adds a new soft FM helpdesk to an already wide range of services. Sodexo has held the contract for the last 15 years and employs some 300 people at North Devon District Hospital; the satellite kidney unit in South Molton and for the management of services at five community hospitals. As part of its new contract, Sodexo will implement a number of innovations including the renovation of the restaurant and café at the main site, a new Costa Express coffee unit and the refurbishment of the hospital shop. Simon Scrivens, managing director for Sodexo’s healthcare business says: “We are thrilled to be continuing our relationship with Northern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust, we believe having worked in partnership with the Trust over the last 15 years has given us the insight needed to look at how we can help improve the Trust’s patients’ experience. We have pulled on the resource from around our business to provide the best solutions to drive efficiencies and improve performance at the hospital.”
