MAXXESS APPOINTS UK AND IRELAND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Access control and integrated security management vendor Maxxess has expanded its UK and Ireland operations with the appointment of Russell Baker as Business Development & Account Manager.
Russell will be based out of the company’s European head office in Bracknell, UK, and will handle the substantial increase in demand for the firm’s signature solution, the eFusion™ access control and security management platform. Building on the success of Maxxess solutions in the corporate, higher education, hospitality and healthcare sectors, offering of enterprise-class access control and integrated security, he will be support existing partners and end-users and as well as developing new relationships with systems integrators, consultants and end-users across the UK and Europe.
Framptons sees 20% volume boost with phs Wastekit machine
As it grew into one of the UK’s leading liquid food and beverage specialists, Framptons made a commitment to develop its business sustainably. That commitment included recycling 100% of the waste produced on site.
To achieve its goals, Framptons needed the best equipment. phs Wastekit, one of the UK’s leading psuppliers of compactors and balers, worked with the team at Framptons to provide a new WK2000 portable compactor, which allowed Framptons to compact over 20% more waste at a time, increasing capacity from around 6,000kgs to 7,500kgs a week. This has not only reduced the number of trips needed to collect waste, in turn reducing carbon emissions and costs, it has also increased the volume of waste which Framptons can recycle every week.
phs Greenleaf sweeps the board with five horticulture awards
phs Greenleaf has won five industry-leading awards, including a special ‘Good Will Leaf Award’ for its unique rainbow Christmas tree which was created during the pandemic to bring hope and raise money for a mental health charity.
The Plants at Work Awards, run by the association representing interior landscapers, also awarded phs Greenleaf with gold awards for its maintenance work at the Trafford Centre in Manchester and its Christmas designs at Studley Castle Hotel in Warwickshire. It awarded silver awards for its design and installation work at Barton Square in Manchester and its contract work with Sodexo across the UK.

Washrooms and Hygiene specialist phs appoints Eoin Foley as Managing Director to head up its Irish operations
phs, the washroom and hygiene company responsible for Washroom, floorcare and aircare services in the Republic of Ireland has hired a new senior leader. Eoin Foley has been brought on as managing director to lead the fast-growing business in Ireland.
Foley, 39 from Patrickswell in county Limerick, joins from a vacant property, security and management company – where he was managing director for four years.

Caerphilly’s phs Group launches new internship for students with learning disabilities
phs Group welcomes five interns this week (14 September 2021), as part of a brand-new partnership with DFN Project SEARCH and Htf.
The scheme will run for 10 months and will see young people with learning difficulties taking on roles with mentors across the entire organisation.
The young people, who are all students at Bridgend College, will complete three rotations in Credit Control, Customer Services, Facilities, Finance, Human Resources, IT and Learning and Development. The internship will give young people the opportunity to explore a range of opportunities and develop job skills that they can take forward in their chosen career.
